I don't believe this *Anonymous* guest was a guest of this inn. We have been closed for two months now.

We love this very charming, cozy Inn.
Posted 20 Dec 2019 on HotelsMy wife and I stayed here for our 30th wedding anniversary, and it was perfect. We stayed in the Captain's Room with a King bed. Clean, comfortable, and cozy. We loved it! Very charming place. Innkeeper Rhiannon does a great job of making you feel right at home. In the morning she left a basket of baked goodies outside our door for breakfast. Delicious. Plus, there was an assortment of items in the refrigerator for the taking. More than enough food for breakfast.
The location is ideal. It's a short walk to the center of town, but it's not on a busy street. The only problem was the bell across the street that would ring every hour on the hour throughout the night. But that's not Rhiannon's fault.
We highly recommend the Iron Horse Inn and hope to stay here again.

I loved the historic charm, and how close the shops, boutiques and tastings were! The continental breakfast was just OK, but I not a deal breaker.

In addition to items in the personal refrigerator, we provide baked goods from a local bakery in a basket to the room door. Guests can enjoy this in their room or on an outdoor breakfast porch or any other common area. Expedia calls this a "Breakfast on the Go", which, unfortunately, does not well-explain it in advance. More detailed information is available by visiting our website directly at HistoricIronHorseInn dot com.
Sorry this was not clear from the beginning. Only a handful of bed and breakfasts out of over a hundred serve hot breakfasts in Hermann. Folks have to mostly rely on the local eateries for a cooked meal, and most of these only do breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday mornings. I am glad we were able to make you happy otherwise. : )
