I did not like the very loud music on Saturday night which went on to 3pm at least. I could not sleep because of the continual thumping of the music. We were in Room 118 so I just warn anyone not to have that room on a Saturday night.

Liked hotel, lovely old fashioned atmosphere and spacious rooms. Had to change room due to unacceptable lumpy mattress. New room mattress was better but still needed to be upgraded or replaced. This one issue spoiled what was otherwise an excellent hotel.

No hot water or heating so cannot rate higher
The overall hotel is fine, but I cannot rate it higher due to the fundamental issues. There was no hot water (on all three days I stayed) and the heating did not work. I was there for a wedding and heard the same from 5 other rooms - so it's not a one off issue- and when I told reception they just said it's an old building and not much can be done. I am quite flexible with hotel issues but a shower for me is mandatory.
