Checkin staff was busy with a video call and just let us wait without any reaction. After a while the annoyed receptionist told us to wait for a colleague to come who was „running around somewhere“. At checkout a different receptionist had no clue wether we had paid via the Expedia portal or not. Otherwise the property was clean and comfortable.

Perfect for Need

Room featured built in desk, small closet, bedside moms and reading lamps, overall was well designed, bed is equal to an American King size, very comfortable, bath small but super functional. Breakfast (extra charge) was excellent with various breads, cheeses, meats, jams, three juices, boiled eggs, cereals, fresh hot coffee. Next door is great gym (extra charge). Short walk into town for traditional restaurants, grocer, KFC, McDonald's.

A SOLID VALUE FOR THE TRAVELER

The Arena Hotel offers small but well-designed rooms, with excellent king size bed (two twins side-by-side), simple but adequate bathroom, built-in desk and a good breakfast, which is optional. It is attached to a large gym – for which there is another fee – and within reasonable walking distance to downtown Henstedt. For us, the hotel is ideally situated, as we were visiting German family nearby. The only negatives were the absence of hotel staff during the night, and some minor issues with cleanliness.
