"The hotel is wonderful, on the outskirts of the forest with easy access to hiking and a playground. Only a 12-minute drive to Heidelberg’s Altstadt, their breakfast was good and reasonably priced. Friendly staff, air conditioning, huge tub and shower in the junior suite, beautiful Biergarten with a playground to occupy the kids....all reasons why we would choose this hotel every time possible when visiting Heidelberg!"

"Room itself was nice. Well decorated and had a kitchenette with sink. Had a balcony. However no air-con. Even in September i was too warm. I imagine its unbearable in the heat of summer. The resteraunt only did breakfast. No option for an evening meal. Staff were nice at the breakfast meal. I did have a problem one day where my card wouldn't open the breakfast room door, so i had to wait for someone to let me in. "I stayed at several hotels on my recent trip to Germany, and this was by far my favorite. I loved my room, facilities were casual and inviting, and I slept really well."

"Loved the proximity to the castle, shopping, and dining. The staff members were very helpful in recommending how to get to the train station. Our room layout (room #20) was a little strange and could be improved - the television is far from the bed and there is only one chair to sit on for television viewing - I think some re-arranging could make the room layout more functional.
