The location adjacent to the river view was outstanding. Access to local transportation and dining areas was outstanding.

Fantastic staff on checkin. Easy parking on location. Short waterside walking into downtown Heidelberg. If you plan shopping or castle tour then it would be more advantageous to drive instead of walking.

We won't be coming back

Booked two rooms for our family, got put on different floors at opposite side of hotel. Room was comfortable and clean, though bathroom very much in need of refurbishment. Read the fine print: what looks like complimentary water in the rooms is actually €5 each. Came down to restaurant at 9pm to have dinner on patio, was told it was no longer possible to get service on patio. Sat inside, watching those out on patio get full dinner service. Our drinks came after our food. Breakfast buffet was good. €25 for overnight parking, such a racket. Overall, a disappointing experience, not worth nearly what we paid. We'll certainly be coming back to Heidelberg, but not to the Marriott.

The room had a beautiful view of the river. The old town and Heidelberg Castle was spectacular. The hotel’s breakfast buffet was amazing- so much to choose from and delicious.

Very old, outdated hotel. Everything screams for renovation

Although the property is dated and could use an update, everything was very clean and the staff was excellent!
