The hotel is set between a motorway and a petrol station which did not seem like a great location, however the hotel has its own grounds with a nice pond with some benches and was actually very relaxing outside area. The bar and restaurant also have open frontages with balconies and it was a very nice setting.
The hotel is an older build which seemed to be undergoing a refresh when I visited. It was spacious and comfortable and generally everything seemed to work and be in good condition.
The hotel room was great. I had a door out onto the pond and garden area I mentioned. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. A note for business travellers, there wasn't a good desk to work at, although there was good wifi available free. There is a kettle in the room and some basic facilities. Everything was clean.
I ate breakfast in the hotel, it was basic and very acceptable. This was a buffet type and self service.
I ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was nice, the prices for food and drink were very reasonable, the service was friendly if a little inattentive.
Generally I found the hotel very quiet, which is good and restful, but it was quiet with staff also. Front desk was closed quite early, and the bars and everything else seemed to shut early also which is a shame when there is nothing else near by to use as an option.

This is perfectly fine hotel in a very convenient location with easy access to the town centre as well as the connecting roads to elsewhere. Great for travellers. The hotel is being refurbished and the rooms that have had the treatment are lovely. Some of the olders ones will greatly benefit once they're done. Service is efficient and friendly and overall the place is clean. The main building feels past it's glorie days, but as a place to stay a few nights it's great. Best price in town as well.

Big Rooms, Old washroom, beautiful reception
Posted 28 Sep 2018 on HotelsThere is gas station on side and the hotel parking on the other side. As one enters the hotel reception, he get good feeling and reception is beautiful decorated and well maintained but the room which we got were on the ground floor and the rooms were big and spacious but not as advertised in the picture. I was little disappointed with the washroom but other things made up for it.
Reception representative was friendly and informative.
Hotel also had a restaurant in 1st floor, which was nice and good for drinks and breakfast.
I would rate 3.5 out of 5.
There is lot of improvement scope in housekeeping department.

This is a functional hotel, located on a main traffic route. Rooms are fine, comfortable and clean. The general facilities are good and functional so spending the night is fine. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. Restaurant is fine too, offering plenty of choices.
