The room was very stinking and stuffy , not a 24 hour reception. The employee gave me the emergency number to the hotel but no one ever responded so I left a voicemail and no response. I had to use the side entrance which was on the upper 1st floor to go in and out after business hours which made it inconvenient and no sidewalks to go to the nearest store. No hot water at night because the boiler couldn't keep up with the many people that were staying at the hotel is what I was told.

According to website hotel had multiple restraunts and bar. When we arrived they were closed..no breakfast available... Had to walk about 1.5 kms to nearest restraunt that was open. Reception closed at 21.00 and we were instructed to come and go via emergency exit We went down to reception at 9.15 next morning to check out. No one about. And we triggered the alarms. Mot a good experience

Limited front desk times

This hotel has quite a unique setup. Normally a hotel is a hotel with a restaurant; this is more like a restaurant with a hotel. This results in the hotel desk only occupied when the restaurant is open, from 1 PM until 10 PM. So no late check in… At 10 PM I received an email with a telephone number to call to arrange where I could find the key that hid for me (under the mat at the front door). I also had to go in and out through a side door and take the stairs. You also have to take those stairs if you check out before 1 PM, which I imagine most people do. So I cannot recommend that for seniors, and it’s not suitable for disabled people The restaurant is a buffet style Chinese restaurant, so no breakfast on premise. The area around the hotel has pretty much nothing to offer

Sleepless in Rotterdam

The room was a decent size with a comfortable double bed with clean linen and comfortable pillows. The bathroom was clean and relatively modern. The walls in the room had evidence of squashed flies on all 4 walls embedded in the wallpaper - this should have been my alarm....I woke up the next morning covered in bites from flying insects and the culprits were relaxing on the walls - needless to say they were squashed. My second night was sleepless night as I couldn't take my mind off the thought of being bitten again during my sleep - so I didn't sleep. I know the fly situation is not directly the fault of the hotel, but simple plug in fly repellents could be used / supplied for certain times of the year. The food was fantastic and plentiful - I would strongly suggest the 2-hour eat all you can buffet as beer / wine is also included in the price. If I ever stay again, I will bring my own plug in fly repellent to allow a decent night's sleep.
