Absolutely nothing. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I had a man enter my room at 6 o’clock in the morning After not having power or heat in the room. Do not stay here!

I stayed here two nights with my friend and we really liked the room. It was cute and clean and the staff was kind and helpful even when we needed help with a few things. It is an older place so everything wasn't brand new (I've seen a few reviews about it being old and gross) but my room was lovely and I had no problems with the condition or cleanliness of anything. Breakfast was ok, it was nice it was cooked to order but it took a while but they had a few options if you were in a rush. I would stay here again

Staff was kind and helpful. Room had a king bed that was very comfortable and a separate sonnecting room that had bunk beds so plenty of room and great nights sleep. Breakfast was good

Despite some really bad reviews, we had a pleasant enough stay at the Brooks hotel.
The staff were friendly and always responded to feedback, for example they had run out of brown bread at breakfast and then the next day it was available. Note that a breakfast slot time is booked on arrival but there is a wide choice. Breakfast itself was good with a choice of a cooked plate as well as continental buffet selection. The hotel was conveniently placed for access to the airport (no more than 10mis walk from bus/tram). It was also about 20 mins walk to the Grassmarket area. Other comments - the room itself was clean enough, but the mattress was too soft and needed replacement; the shower door in bathroom did not close properly.

Staff were exceptional. 10 min to train station 20 walk to Royal Mile. Great breakfast oprions included.
