Parking in car park at rear was not safe. Rear of pub was very messy and not healthy. Door to rear of pub is left open all night so not secure. Windows in room were screened in white. Opening windows were over the noisy and smoking area pub garden so could not leave open. Bed was very lumpy. Very noisy town with constant police sirens. Not a good place to stay. So we decided not to stay and left to find other accommodation. Will not recommend and will not come back.
Didn't stay as no telephone number to ask if they had a car park 3 days later I get an email to say no there's a public car park behind hotel, I have a van and needed secure parking, so will let people know on trust pilot how bad communication is with hotel, lost £62 and really not happy!!
Few options in Haverhill. This little inn above a decent restaurant beats others I’ve tried on previous trips, and the village center is adorable. Will be back.

Arrived at hotel no sight of anyone. Sent message and called no reply and had to find another hotel
We had a great visit, and was a bit worried about the pub music when we arrived but the music stopped exactly at 11pm so there was no need to worry.
Room was very clean / warm and the coffee machine was excellent.
Breakfast was freshly cooked and nothing was too much trouble.

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
Disliked: Staff & service
Staff appeared to have no training, had to ask for milk for cereal, butter, yoghurt. No marmalade for the 5 days, 2 types of cereal on offer and one of those ran out after 3 days, leaving only wheatabix available.
What could have been an enjoyable stay in comfortable bedrooms was spoilt by the poor service and availability at breakfast.
A noisy hotel, and they don't answer the telephone after 17.00 which is challenging when the Suffolk Hotel is not the name over the door so its very hard to find. Definitely one star.
Travelling on business and stayed in a single room-would advise asking for a double room if you need a desk. I bit quirky but lovely friendly staff who prepared a special meal for me as I was gluten free. Definitely worth a visit and makes a nice change to the big chains
A lovely hotel, with great service before check-in, I managed to figure out the late night check-in..just....and a lovely little room, well decorated and finished off
