Lovely balcony to sit on during the day when it’s not too hot

The property location was very central to many attractions, including Central Park and the Malecon. They all required some walking. The area around the building is very dirty with garbage and we felt uneasy walking at times, but all was good and this is all typical of Havana at current. To reach the rooms, there are a lot of stairs (narrow and many floors). We are fit and able, but some may need to consider this. The room felt very safe and secure and was very clean. The host was very good. Generally around when we had questions and allowed us to use her Cuban equivalent of Uber to save money on taxis (which was appreciated). Bring American dollars to this property for paying for costs of water bottles, beer, etc. We had the host do laundry (for a cost) and it was done fantastically. The wifi was only free after 9pm and was patchy (which is typical of all of Cuba, not the host’s fault). The hot water was good, the power didn’t go out (as it frequently does in Cuba). Biggest recommendation - take US dollars to Cuba!!!

The hosts were very professional and extremely helpful. The area is great as it is a short walk away from the Malecón and Old Habana.

A Little Gem In Havana
Posted 11 Jan 2019 on HotelsWe could not have made a better choice. The location was perfect, close to everything and the service was exceptional. Kenia, Vivian and Sure were great. They were so helpful and even arranged transportation for our day trips, night out and assisted us with accommodation when we went to Trinidad. We felt so comfortable and relaxed. The room was nice and clean and breakfast was very tasty. Our stay was more enjoyable because of the wonderful treatment we received. .

Hosting Jonathan and Joan was great, they are really nice and kind. They are the kind of guest that you want them to stay forever.
They left the room clean and follow all the rules of the house.

Good value for money and pretty hostal
Posted 18 Feb 2024 on HotelsOverall a good stay, good money exchange, helpful host in terms of that and a nice balcony to watch the happenings on the street and cleanness was spot on. The hostal is decorated very nicely and the private room is quite cozy. It is located on a really lively street so there is always tons of people doing their thing but it can get really loud. They have security cameras and at night keep someone in the living room to open the door as you get the key to the building entrance and your room. Our only issues were breakfast was super poor - we paid for it as an extra on hotels.com, but i would suggest then just putting the price up to provide an okay breakfast as this was more of a snack, 6 small pieces of fruit, 3 of papaya and 3 of guayaba, with a bread toasted with the local cheese and a cup of coffee. Secondly, you get put on a blue bracelet to 'identify' you are a guest which can sort of mark you in the neighbourhood as everyone kept asking if we were on a daytrip from an all inclusive in Vedado thanks to it.

Con respecto al desayuno es importante que antes de escribir veas bien tu reserva por favor, tu reserva tenia desayuno incluido por el cual pagastes 5 euros por 2 personas. El cual es un desayuno más modesto que el desayuno completo que se paga en efectivo si un cliente llega sin desayuno y desa desayunar en nuestra casa. Se te explicó. El desayuno completo incluye mucho más cosas por eso su precio y es por persona el pago ademas un poco más caro y no viene incluido en una reserva.Además se te olvidó agregar que tu desayuno y el de tu pareja incluía huevo. Jamás se le surgiere a un cliente pagar extra por un desayuno más amplio. Por favor, cuando se cuenta algo, se cuenta como es. Escuchaste a un cliente pedir desayuno y le explicamos las tarifas. Con respecto a la pulsera que se les pone a nuestros huespedes es por tu seguridad y el de todos los clientes en nuestra casa, así evitamos que el que no sea huesped pueda pasar a la casa fingiendo ser uno en los cambios de turno del equipo de trabajo, en caso de que hubieran clientes nuevos y el personal de seguridad no los conozca todavía. Todos en la cuidad con o sin pulsera sabe diferenciar a un cubano de un extranjero. Ese comentario que te hicieron por el vencidario de que si eras de un Hotel todo incluido no es más que un halago para nosotras como Anfitrionas, porque no es normal este tipo de precauciones en una casa.Nos tomamos muy en serio la seguridad de todos nuestros huespedes y cada medida que tomemos por el bienestar de todos es poca y cada día haremos más.Saludos desde La Habana.
