Maye and her family are wonderful and provided us with a perfect stay! It felt like I was at home, with lots of hospitality, affection, and all the support we needed! When I return to Havana, I will definitely stay with Maye again. Excellent room and a great environment! To top it off, the little dog Mondí is also super affectionate and brightens everyone's stay! La Maye, a great local experience.

Our hosts were very hospitable and kind. Location was excellent and only a few minutes walk to the Malecon and places of interest were within close proximity ( walking distance).

La Maye is an extremely cheap "casa particular" with an excellent and nice lady in a very practical location (even though ugly). Very good and cheap breakfasts and meals, too!

The hosting couple is friendly. They have a really small dog and a cat both friendly as well. The lady of the house makes a good breakfast which is included. The rooms are clean with good AC and Wi-Fi but no TV. The bathrooms are nice. There’s a balcony to watch the street.

Perfect

I stayed at the hotel run by Mayein and her husband for three nights. I checked in at around 11:00 at night and when I told them I was hungry they immediately prepared something for me to eat. They were really friendly and helpful people. Everything was perfect. They hosted me very well. The breakfast was good. They also arranged a taxi for transportation to Varadero. The location of the hotel is 10 minutes away from Eskişehir Square. It is right at the bottom of the ocean and has a really nice location. I recommend it to everyone. If I come to Cuba again, this will definitely be the place I will stay.

I really enjoyed my stay. The owner is very friendly and accommodating during your stay. It is one of the best deals you will find in the area. Malecon is a block away and there are a few local stores for your daily needs. Even Central Park is only about a 15 minute walk away.

Great value, local, safe & walkable

Perfect family home in a local, safe, walkable area. The room had a powerful AC, a safebox and a fridge - which really become essential items when in Cuba. The host Maye is incredibly helpful and thoughtful - she made my stay wonderful and I felt really taken care of. This is great value for money: you can reach anywhere in town on foot!

Mayelin was a great host and very friendly and helpful. She has a very tiny, cute dog and a cat that hang around as well! The room was nice and she offered water, coffee, and prepared a wonderful breakfast that was only 300 pesos. Thank you Mayelin for the stay!
