Great place to stay! The neighborhood is a little sketchy when you first arrive but the house itself is very clean. All the people who work there are SO kind; shout out to Milena who prepared for us delicious breakfast, and Al who was our host and took excellent care of us. Also super close to transport to Playas del Este and other food and beverage options.

The host Al was great - very friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful, going above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay and assisting with our transportation arrangements at the end. Betsy made us a lovely breakfast with fresh produce and friendly service. The room was charming and full of character - like Old Havana itself! Would definitely recommend Casa Giraldilla for anyone looking for a comfortable stay in a convenient location in a great city.

Excellent hosts, great location
I had an excellent stay at Casa Giraldilla. The location in Havana Vieja was excellent, close to the Parque Central, Myseum of the Revolution, and the Capitolio. Carmen and Pablo were lovely hosts. The building is also very nice. There was a bit of street noise at night - which in my experience is true anywhere in Havana Vieja.

Great spot to see old Havana.
Great spot, close to everything and with good air conditioning. The proprietor, Al, was super helpful, even taking us to the unofficial market to get provisions for our sailing excursion. Breakfast up on the rooftop was lovely. There is some street noise, but not problematic.

The location and staff was great. There were a few things about the room that made it an uncomfortable stay; a poor bed with the springs coming through the mattress and the noise from the neighborhood bar could be rowdy at times making it hard to relax. Otherwise, we enjoyed the staff - friendly and personable.

The room had real character, host was friendly and welcoming . Its in a good location in the heart of downtown so all the stŕeet noises are heard late at night and early morning. I personally liked looking from the shuttered windows overlooking a narrow busy street. A simple breakfast is on a top terrace..fruit, eggs.bread and juice and somebody is on call in the house to let you in late at night.The wifi doesnt always work but the rooms are clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend

We were warmly welcomed by Alvicente who was very helpful with information and arranging taxis. The location was great for access to Old Havana, museums, the Malecon and restaurants. It is a bit noisy especially at night so recommend ear plugs! The terrace was a great place to hang out - the dominos were popular with our crew. Internet worked reasonably well.

The room was exactly as described, with excellent air conditioning and cleanliness. The breakfast on the terrace was good. The staff was very helpful in assisting us with taxi bookings and currency exchange. It’s worth noting that the location is on a busy and noisy street. If you're sensitive to noise, this might be something to consider. However, the overall experience was still enjoyable thanks to the great service and facilities provided by the hotel.

Our hosts and the entire staff at the Casa Giraldilla were fantastic and immensely helpful, not only with directions, tips and places of interest, but also with our spanish. Al and his coworkers made us feel like family and their love of Cuba was infectious!! The casa particular was in an excellent location, central to the best spots in Habana Vieja. The room was great (I haven't slept that soundly in a long time), and the terrazza was such a great suprise. We will be back, as this trip has certainly whet our appetite to learn more about such a wonderful and beautiful place inhabited by the nicest people! Oh, and the coffee - unbelievable.....

Amazing accommodations in the heart of Havana. Close to everything. Alvicent (Al) and Carmen and staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Rooms were well appointed with all you need and kept clean. The Aircon worked very well and we slept very well. If you’re a light sleeper, I recommend earplugs for the lively noises coming from the street. The bed and pillows were comfortable and they changed linens every few days. They also offer very strong Cuban coffee to start your day and an amazing breakfast if you like to start your day this way. They also helped with transportation and very honest. We also felt extremely safe and well looked after. We loved the roofdeck and starting and ending our days there. We felt at home. We will definitely be back!! 🥰❤️

A friend and I decided to visit Cuba for the first time. Our first stop was in La Habana, and luckily we chose "Casa Giraldilla". The hosts, Carmen and Carlos, are simply amazing; really nice people who advised us about different possibilities in the city as well as for our future destinations. We are now back and still remember these wonderful breakfasts on their rooftop where we could enjoy the awakening of the city while having a nice and warm conversation with them. Totally worth having a chat with them and enjoying their tips/recommendations! Casa Giraldilla is cozy, rooms are clean, and amenities are more than perfect for your stay in La Habana. Moreover, the location is perfect so, totally recommended for your stay in Havana!
