Once you find it, well worth it
Posted 5 Apr 2021 on HotelsNot the easiest to find with a standard gps, but a very nice place with an exceptional friendly owner
Our tower room was nice and spacious, breakfast quite nice and sitting out on the lawn in the sub with a trappist can't be beaten.
Nice hikes in the area, plenty of things to do in this peaceful environment

This is a gem. Lovely location, very friendly welcome. Over the last few years we've used many hotels and guest houses on our motorcycle tours and this rates among the highest. A very big thank you.

Tucked away and charming

Pros: Attentive service, spacious room, good breakfast.
Location: Out in the country. You must have a car! Good base for day trips in the area.
This B&B was quite comfortable and the owner goes out of his way to make sure that everything is fine and to provide info and directions when requested.. The continental breakfast spread was ample and tasty and they'll prepare eggs and bacon or waffles if you like. They've made an effort to provide upgrading touches in the rooms such as a shower with music and heated towel racks, so although the décor is simple and homey, you can tell they pay attention to detail. We mentioned one morning that we were planning to go to a distant place for hiking and while we had breakfast, he printed info about the place for us. I think he was worried about us and the information actually DID make us change our minds after we'd looked it over on our own! Two things you should know: some rooms are accessed by a steep spiral staircase, so if you have heavy luggage or a disability - ask in advance. Secondly, if you like to be in the center of a town with lots of restaurant choices and "action:", as we usually do, this place is somewhat remote. However, the country setting is lovely, and it is a good base location for day trips through the Ardennes region. We would stay here again.

Peace, quiet, and comfort guaranteed
Posted 7 Feb 2018 on HotelsB&B Windsor provided a lovely stay in a peaceful setting, offering a quiet night of rest and an excellent breakfast to help me on my way the next morning. The owner, Guillaume, thoughtfully provided me with excellent directions by e-mail immediately following my booking, which helped me locate the B&B on the day of arrival. I was greeted at the door, shown a lovely upgraded room, given a safety explanation, and had a quiet evening after a busy day of touring. I slept well and the bed and room were very comfortable and well appointed. I was asked at what time I wanted breakfast and when I showed up at that time in the morning, everything was ready. It was all tasty and filling. We had a pleasant chat as I was departing and I learned a bit about the building (some of which was an ancient monastery and fortification despite its new look) and a bit of history about the area. The B&B is located in Hastiere, a 10 min. drive from the picturesque town of Dinant, where the saxaphone was invented.

A Boutique B&B
Posted 20 Mar 2017 on HotelsA lovely weekend in this boutique B&B. Guy is an extremely welcoming and informative host. The room was large, bright, clean and well equipped. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. A great location about 10 mins from Dinant, close to the river Meuse. I would recommend this to anyone looking to stay in the area. No negative points.

Wonderful Hosts / Gourmet Cooking
Posted 4 Mar 2016
Pros: We enjoyed the oversize spa tub, the provided robe, and the quiet. Wifi and TV in the room worked well. But the food was the best!
Cons: The bed was only ok as we did not sleep well the first night, but slept fine the second night.
Location: Great location with an easy and beautiful 10 minute drive to Dinant. Check out the Citadel and the free Sax museum.
What a fantastic time we had at Windsor. Guy is a wonderful host and Sylvie is an amazing gourmet cook. The duck a l'orange what outstanding, but paled in comparison to the pear and chocolate pastry dessert. The included breakfast was more than plenty with meats, cheeses, homemade breads and jams, fresh squeezed orange juice, and the most perfect cup of hot chocolate. If this is not enough, eggs can be made to order as well. But I highly recommend adding at least one evening meal. You can't miss it.
