Great location in the city centre. There are plenty of restaurants within a short walk. Breakfast was very good with generous portions and plenty of choice.
The hotel is on the A61. Rooms at the front, such as ours, can be a little noisy. The traffic seemed mostly to stop overnight though.

We had a 2 night stay at the Inn to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The room was spacious and well furnished, the staff were uniformly friendly and efficient and the Inn itself had an excellent selection of beers and other drinks. We ate there on the first night and the standard of food (selection of small plates) was very good, as was the service. The breakfast was also superb. One word of warning, the car park only has 8 spaces, so first come, first served!

Better housekeeping required! My room was entirely panelled all the panels were dusty: easily sorted with a damp cloth. Towels left for replacement as instructed were not in fact replaced. A sopping bath at (because the shower leaked) had to be dried by me over the radiator. The Inn could be excellent: it aspires to be-but needs some attention to detail

The hotel was charming, clean and very cozy.
Very convenient for the shops and restaurants, 5 minute walk from the railway and bus stations.
The Hotel staff were amazing, so helpful, friendly and professional, nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend this hotel

The dog friendly garden room has a noisy kitchen above. Its a converted basement. Its accessed via litter strewn steps and faces onto a carpark. There is no garden.
