Great place stay, very close to train st. We had a suite room which was very comfortable for two people. Bed and shower was great and the staff exceptional.

We were initially enamored with the lobby and waiting area, only to be disappointed by the rest of the hotel. Bath towels were frayed, no one came to clean the rooms despite our request the second day, and worse of all, there was a gross puddle of yellow liquid (urine?) in the elevator for a few hours another night. We also tried booking a tour through the hotel and was initially encouraged to pay cash and “go under the table” with one of the employees. We ended up booking at the front desk only to be shaken down for more money after we had already gone on the tour bc “they had quoted the wrong price.” Extremely unprofessional, and left a terrible taste in our mouth. We were trying to avoid booking scams by going through the hotel only to find out that apparently that’s not safe either. Do better, Meritel.

From the moment I arrived, Mike made us feel like VIPs. He was extremely kind and helpful with many good suggestions for the city. The location is perfect, right in Old Town, walkable to everything. The other staff including Anh, Judy, Mai, Hanh, and everyone else made this a 5 star stay. The breakfast was very impressive. The rooftop pool was lovely on a hot day. I will stay here every time I come to Hanoi!
