Great property if you like the quiet, it is a few kms outside the town and there is nothing around. Great views from the rooms. Very clean, facilities are ok but the gym is very small in a cold room. Annoying that the good breakfast does not provide free coffee other than Americano, on the three days we were there for two there was no barman to make the espresso and the cappuccino. The waiter did his best but the result was poor and they still charged us. Great hotel if you like the quiet

Very nice place. Cleanliness could be improved. Staff friendly, but attention to detail could be improved. 8 to 5 work ethic in NZ is disappointing. But that doesn't just apply to Braemer. It is a problem everywhere here.

Was nice and relaxing and enjoyable. The only thing that could be improved is the spa it wasn’t that hot it was almost luke warm water and wasn’t able to turn the temperature up so wasn’t able to sit in it for long as it was cold and that was the main reason I booked that suite

Nice room and spa. Breakfast good too. However when we asked to have vegetarian options made available for the dinner menu, we were not accommodated. Also seal up the road leading into the property, gravel road makes too much dust and messes up the car as well as being unhealthy for the Alpacas on the road side. Put a sign by electric vehicle chargers stating to move the car once it is charged so someone else can charge their car! Also gardens need to be maintained.

It was once a very nice retreat which seems to have been let go. Was impossible to contact staff from inside or outside resort so drove all the way back from town only to be told that the restaurant that is advertised as open 7 days a week was closed so had to drive back to town to try and find food. Our stay was average. The room was a great size and had a beautiful view, it was a shame the bath tub, shower floor and spa were very dirty and slimey considering we paid extra to have the private spa. Overall the view, staff at the entrance and room were great but not the cleanliness.

The spa room is good but a little dated since I went last and the level of food is really bad compared to my precovid stay. Don’t get the steak. The breakfast is simple wish the quality was better. For the price you pay there should be good food options onsite. Stayed during a public holiday and there was no offer for food during the day sadly so had to venture into town which has good food. Will stay again for the spa room only very disappointed by the food which they ended up taking off our bill as we were dissatisfied which was a good thing. The staff are very nice and accommodating.
