30 minute drive to Bar Harbour, plazas nearby for coffee and dinner, overall good place to stay.

Had an emergency and had to leave early. Would not refund our last day. We were gone by checkout time. Bad business!

Hi Timothy, unfortunately we do not offer refunds for same day cancellations. It's not bad business but rather the common standard for hotels everywhere... this is because the room is held for you and may not be sold after cancellation. Nothing personal just business!

This was a nice affordable option for us to visit Acadia. They are making updates to the property. The room was clean and beds comfy. We liked the fridge and microwave in the room so we could make some of our meals. Walmart was a 4 minute drive away. Staff was friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking and it was pretty quiet while we were there.

We truly enjoyed our stay at White Birches. The receptionist was very friendly and had coffee and snacks available every day we were there. The room was exceptionally clean and neat. Just what a person needs when he is traveling. The room itself was also very quiet. Not much traffic, etc. Our dog loved all the grass in front of the units. I also noted that those with dogs cleaned up after their dogs went to the potty. It would have been nice to have available places to easily plug in our phones, computers, etc. to charge them. We had to make a trip to Walmart to buy the plugs we needed to do that.

A simple straight back chair or luggage holder in the room to sit luggage on would have been helpful. Clothes hangers would be nice.
