Posted 22 Jul 2023 on HotelsIf I could I would give the Hotel Volksschule a 100/10 star rating. The hotel is the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at. Each and every staff member from Dominik at the front desk to the staff at breakfast do their part to make your stay exceptional. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. This was so comforting to me, as I was traveling from the US, and am not proficient in German, yet the staff helped me out with everything I needed from navigating the metro to ordering takeout on an app. The common areas of the hotel allow for nice socialization either in the bar area or outside at the tables. It did not matter the time of day of when I needed something, there was always a staff member to provide assistance in a welcoming and charming way. I wish I could take the staff home with me as they were THAT GOOD! I highly recommend the Hotel Volksschule without reservation. Also hats off to the decor team - every detail has a purpose -quite whimsy and pleasant. You get to test your math skills on the clocks! FUN!

Beautiful building inside and out. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was a comfort room and it was very big. The bed was super comfy and a fantastic delicious breakfast. So much choice and the scrambled eggs were delicious.
The subway is a few mins walk and gets you everywhere easily. We found the subway easy to get around. From the airport you need the green line (S1) and change at central to the red (U2) to the hotel. Easy!
You can buy a group pass for up to 5 people for 13 euros.
