Cosy, welcoming bar with great service. Good beer and quality food. Excellent choice for breakfast.Warm comfy rooms

Good value, charming, good atmosphere.
It's an old coaching inn so ceilings are low, windows tiny and the ensuite has to be squeezed in. But very nice rooms, bathroom nicely appointed and eco-friendly, staff very cheery, good breakfast options. Only quibble was that tv reception was very dodgy.

Building is aged with an old feel to it staff suoer friendly and accomidating!! 10 min drive to Haydrians wall

Much better than large chain hotels. Family run friendly and lovely breakfast. Excellent value.

Nice hotel located close to seeing the sights

Good food options when dining in.
Room very small, specially with 2 large bags, one couldn't walk round one side of the bed.

Quiet location, off street parking close by.
More vegan options on the menu would be a bonus.
