"This was the best little hotel we stayed in while traveling through Scotland. I was skeptical based on reviews. But it was an efficient hotel. No frills, not fancy, older hotel. Could it use a renovation? Yes. Did it bother us? No!! It was clean. Restaurant was traditional. The staff was super sweet and treated us like family. Very understanding when the Texan had no clue how to turn on a radiator! 😂. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! The experience was worth more than fancy...

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here for new year's. Self check-in and out was very simple. The staff were really lovely, helpful and down for a chat. The view from our window was magnificent, overlooking the bay. The perfect home base for our explorations on Isle of Skye. The only thing that would improve the experience would be a mini fridge to keep groceries and milk fresh. Although mini fridges seem to be more common in Australian accommodation, as I haven't had one anywhere we have stayed...

"We absolutely loved our stay. Wonderful place and people. The staff were amazing; particularly John and John, who were thoughtful and took care of us the entire time. Rooms were kept very nicely and having the option to do laundry was an added bonus. Skye is a gorgeous place and staying at this hotel only made our experience better. Terrific restaurant, which we spent 2 dinners 3 breakfast’s at. Would highly recommend and hope to be back soon"

"Exceptional property! Heatherland looks like it came out of the pages of a storybook. Perfect location to explore Skye from! The cottage was super clean, roomy, very quiet, with views for miles and miles. We would strongly recommend Heatherland to anyone travelling to Skye."

"This charming cottage is even better in person than in pictures. We stayed 3 nights to explore Skye and our host, Liz, kept in constant contact with us to make sure we were taken care of. It felt like home away from home, with the best host we’ve ever had in our lives. There is a nice creek by the cottage to stroll and it is very quiet. "We LOVED this property and would definitely stay again if we were in the area. The room was very clean, spacious and nicely decorated. It was a great location to walk to restaurants, bars, coffee shops and even the water. We had no issues parking and the staff were very friendly as well. It was a quiet place and we really enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommend! "
