This was a wonderful place to stay. Nothing can beat a private balcony Onsen/hot tub with ocean views, and the hills as well. The breakfast buffet was outstanding as well.

This is an amazing place to stay. My Wife and I stayed here when we visited Hakodate 2 years ago and we couldn’t wait to return. Every single member of the staff is kind, hard working, and helpful, they’re top notch all around. The room was very comfortable and the private onsen for our room was really relaxing. If you do a little walking there are also places to go to eat and even a great little brewery called Endeavour pretty close by. We can’t wait to stay here again the next time we’re in Hakodate.

Excellent onsen, good variety for both dinner and breakfast buffet. The only drawback for this hotel is far from the main tourist sites, not near train station but can be reached by bus.

Amazing Onsen Hotel

Wonderful hotel, lovely onsen over looking sea. Spacious room with good spread breakfast. Chinese speaking reception staff was helpful.

Its pleasantly large room. Nice design though I wouldnt say it was worth the rate we paid. I've been to pther ryokan with same price with private onsen. But overall it was pleasant. Good staff service.

Staff, onsen, restaurant was excellent. However, my very expensive room witj a peivate onsen did not have air conditioning which was upsetting given the price I paid for that room. But the private onsen itself, was awesome.

Private onsen was amazing. Great buffet breakfast with lots of food choices. However the bed mattress isn’t very comfortable. I feel I needed the onsen to undo the soreness of my back after I woke up. Was that intentional? If the hotel can get better mattresses, it would be a solid product.

We had such an incredible stay here - The mineral bath outside of our room being the first highlight, and the buffet being the second. We bought the dinner buffet (and our stay included the breakfast buffet) and it was SO worth it - so many traditional Japanese options and some western options as well as delicious drinks and desserts. We also decided to get late night head massages - HIGHLY recommend!! Best stay and sleep we had while traveling in Japan. Thank you so much!

Only stayed for one night for the private onsen experience & it was fantastic. Staff, hotel restaurant buffets were excellent. Only disappointment with the hotel was the beds - I booked a large room w/ western style twin beds but the beds were mattresses on a 4" raised platform Beds were comfortable but having bad knees & a sore back made it very difficult to get on/off them. Hubby & I had a good laugh rolling & crawling. There are really no attractions nearby - the botanical garden is in very sad condition but there is a 7-11 across the street and a great ramen restaurant down the street. It seems as though people come to this part of the city strictly to experience the onsen. We would probably stay here again just for that.

The water from this hotspring is good for skin. I havd no wrinkle after a long bath (that means the water is of good quality). We took a taxi to the hotel which took around 10 min (around 2500 yen). Clean room. Nice staff. We tried the buffet dinner. I won’t recommend the dinner as the food variety is limited and the food is average.
