Perfectly ok but no more than that
Posted 8 Oct 2018 on HotelsHotel is under booked and so under staffed - like a ghost ship The staff that are there seem uninterested in service and , humorously, don't know how to work the toaster. Breakfast was passable at best. Possibly caters for Chinese tours as there was no sense of individual service. Room was fine, great view of the harbour and the sunset. Location is good as it's a little walk past the town (so quiet) and near the small beaches. Sadly the small beaches are having large hotels built on them so they will lose their charm soon. Catba harbour town is fun for a few days - food not great but locals very friendly and prices are low. Next time i would book something with character eg bungalows.

Pros: Location; Nice building
Cons: A lot...Needs renovation, but even currently its plumbing needs modernization and at least requires better maintenance. Breakfast was bad and poor.
Location: Location is great, close to main activities and the beaches.
This is an ok hotel, outdated, unfixed, and poorly maintained. If this was $20/night, I would have little complain. But, other than nice location and great look of an old building, everything else was disappointing. I would not blame staff, they were nice. But, I would definitely NOT recommend this hotel.

Great view, but awful beds and service

Location: Tours Boats of Ha Long Bay
The beds were hard as a rock. I am pretty sure they were just box springs with a sheet on top. The elevators often didn't work, and we were even trapped in one for 5 minutes, before it began moving again. The views were really nice, but most places in Cat Ba would have good views. The staff was not very friendly and the breakfast was awful. It was a cheap rate though, so I guess you get what you pay for!

We want to apologize firstly for our inconveniences and explain a little bit. In fact, Springy mattress is one of Vietnamese cultures because its material is so strong and durable. It seems to be terrible experience for foreigners. We highly appreciate your reviews and will add more blankets on mattress.
Secondly, we have many staff replacements and delicious breakfast menus. Sorry for responding lately.

Posted 16 Feb 2017Hung long harbour was an okay experience. The view was awesome, the room okay but very smelly bathroom. Breakfast wasn't great and staff spoke very little English.
Just a very average experience.

Great views and location. Ok facilities

Pros: Views and location and not too much more. Breakfast was ok but leftovers from previous day were noticeably put back on the table.
Cons: Horrible hard mattresses, none of the lights worked, Shower is open without any barriers making everything wet - everything, wifi was extremely slow and intermittent.
Location: Beautiful beaches within a short walk.

제가 가족여행으로 2019년9월30,10월1일 2박을 502호실에서 잤는데 다좋은데 화장실에 욕조가 마감이돼있지않고 떨어져있어서 샤워를하면 화장실이 물바다가되고 그물이 밖에까지나와서 불편했습니다
글구 아침식사가 좀 부실하다는 생각이 들었습나다

立地場所とホテルの作りが良いので、港の綺麗な景色の力を借りてイメージが保てていますが、内装は古いし掃除もきちんと出来ていません。
特に湯船はひどく汚い。
周りに1000円以下のホテルがたくさんある中この価格設定にしてるのだから、掃除や家具のメンテナンス等、誠意で解決出来る部分はきちんとして欲しいです。
