While I knew this was a lower budget motel, my expectations were not even met. When I opened the door to the room a horrible smell came out - strong mildewy dank smell. By morning it almost had a sewage smell to it. The room was hot and stuffy, so I rutned on the AC - but in order to get AC you couldn't have the blinds closed because they closed over it. With the windows open I was on the ground floor looking directly onto the driveway of an oil change place and it's spotlight shown right in my window. I flushed the toilet once - and it ran and ran, I tried jiggling the handle to no avail, and eventually took the top off the back to fix it and found it was an ancient and barely functional inside. I adjusted the cap to stop the running and from there on in it just wouldn't flush at all. I'd asked for a one queen room, got 2 - fine - but both were hard as plywood. There was a refrigerator, which I need for medication, however when I got up in the morning everything I'd put in it was frozen solid, wasting almost $200 of medication. I wasn't looking for anything fancy, but I couldn't wait to go in the morning. I went to the door to check out but no one opened it (lobby closed due to COVID-19 - I was checked in standing outside). I called one of the three numbers on the door to at least say I was leaving (I had already paid) but there was never an answer or answering machine. I wish I'd spent the extra $20-$30 and gotten something at least decent.

While I am sorry that you did not enjoy your trip, there are a few things I'd like to mention. First, I'd like to address the problem with getting a two bed- room. This is due to the pandemic, we do not rent rooms until we wait a few days and conduct proper disinfection of the room. We did not have a room with one bed and graciously gave you a room with 2 beds at the price of a room with 1 bed. The rooms are cleaned with extra care and checked by the owners due to the COVID outbreak and did not have a smell until after your visit. Perhaps this was a result of trying to troubleshoot the toilet problem rather than calling us for assistance. In addition, upon examining the room we found that the toilet that was previously working was now with a broken cap and not in working condition. Per policy as mentioned in the paper every customer is asked to sign, if there is any damage to the property in the room we are able to charge a fee for damages, which we courteously waived. We have not received any complaints regarding the refrigerator, AC or the bed as they are all new and in working condition. We examined all three of these after this post to verify and everything seems to be in working order/comfortable. As for being checked in outside, we do this as a safety precaution as we cannot verify proper quarantine measures of our guests. This process ensures that one customer does not come into contact with anything another customer has touched. Although we diligently clean all surfaces, this intervention is meant as an additional safety measure for you as the customer. Lastly, two out of the three phone numbers listed are mobile numbers and we did not receive a call from you. As always, we do our best in our efforts to serve you while being safe amidst this pandemic. However, I apologize for your dissatisfaction with our service.

I wasn’t expecting much but the bed was almost unbearable. The bathroom shower had a leak in it terrible water pressure not enough towels no shampoo or conditioner bottles in the room. Because of COVID we weren’t wowed in the office which I can understand.

The heater wasn’t working so they had this electric heater that wasn’t very good heating unit needs replacement rm 205

The Travelocity reservation was fine, the desk clerk didn't know how to deal with it. Getting to the room, it was 62 degrees, two of the lights wouldn't light. When I went to breakfast at 7:30 there was none out on the table. I wasn't expecting much for the price, but was even more disappointed. I have traveled extensively, often on a tight budget, but this was humble.

Room was basic but clean. Good bed. Hot shower. No in-room coffee did have a fridge/freezer and microwave.
