"The place is really nice and the island is just beautiful. Only 2 things: the hotel is quite hard to get to without a car and often times there's no one at the front desk. But the hotel people when they are around are very nice and helpful. In general, very nice stay considering we had to stay an extra night due to cancelled flights."

"Not a very flash or modern place but has everything you need in a convenient location. Close to some good restaurants and a grocery store. The guy who runs it is friendly and offers free drop off/pick up from the airport. The hotel has lots of character, an old and rustic kind of feel. Much like a lot of the island. Overall I was pretty happy with the stay."

"A nice western style bed & breakfast ~5 minutes walk from Sokodo Beach. It is a little bit outdated and pricey for what you get, but it was convenient to the beach and the owner was very kind and enjoyable to work with. "朝食は簡単なトーストのみですが、トーストのトッピングがあること、そして付け合わせのおかずが毎日違ったりコーヒーおかわり自由もあって満足できます。施設や部屋は古いですがカギを個人管理化して施設で入り自由やチェックアウトも自由なのは過ごしやすいです。値段も安いのでコストパフォーマンスは良好です。夕食は外食でもいいしスーパーで買い出しになりますが、八丈島の自然を楽しむには十分満足の施設です。職員の方々も笑顔で接してくれて好感度が高いです。冷蔵庫は共有ですが、氷は沢山用意されており意外と細かいところまで心遣いしてくれているのが分かりました。また使ってみたい施設です。"
