Beautiful Schwarzwald-Stollen
Posted 2 Mar 2020 on HotelsThe building was built as a restaurant only in 1847, later it evolved into a hotel&restaurant. Currently the fifth generation of the owning family is in charge.
If you want to lodge in a place buried deep in Schwarzwald, you will wake up hearing birds singing and beautiful sound of Elz streaming nearby.
Hotel is exceptionally clean and the staff is tremendously helping.

Pros: Most kind and friendly Receptionist
Large, quiet room with good views
Breakfast
Cons: Just additional pillows
Location: Just used this hotel as an overnight stop driving from Italy back to England
Satnav took us to the road, but we had difficulty finding the hotel. Fortunately a kind German lady gave us directions. Parking was not on site but literally across the road. The receptionist was lovely and spoke excellent English. She showed us to our room that was very large and had lovely views. The bathroom in particular was a little tired looking. There was only one small pillow for each occupant when we really needed two each. After a good nights sleep the breakfast was lovely and again, the receptionist was most kind.
Really would recommend this hotel to anyone, only don't forget to ask for additional pillows.
