Our room was on the bottom floor and the cleaning carts were very noisy when the staff was pushing them along the walkways. There are seams in the path and the wheels caught on them causing lots of noise. While it wouldn't normally be an issue, this started around 7:30 in the morning ...

This hotel did a beautiful job of converting what appears to be an old mission. The decor throughout maintains the look and everything is well maintained. The walls in our room had the look of lathe and plaster, and the Tiffany style lamps were beautiful.
I must also offer our compliments to the chefs both for dinner and for breakfast. My wife raved repeatedly about the wonderful Caesar salad for dinner, and we both enjoyed the pepperoni pizza that appeared to be wood fired. Also, our breakfasts were cooked impeccably. I'm a bit of a snob about how eggs are cooked but the breakfast chef nailed my eggs over easy and my wife's omelette -- no scorching, just perfectly cooked eggs. Also, the breakfast meats were beautifully seared but not over cooked, and the breakfast potatoes were golden brown and crunchy outside while nicely done inside.
We are trying to figure out how to get the family here for some sort of event. It was just a wonderful stay.

I have stayed here many times and absolutely love it. I dont even feel like i am on the 5 freeway. I met Ross who is a manager there. He was so friendly, asking how we are doing. He spoke and talked like a professional. The restaurant was amazing as ever. Huge PROPS on the steak bites. Delicious.
