Best place to stay when visiting Bayeux
Posted 20 Jun 2024 on HotelsAbsolutely perfect place to stay! Close to Bayeux, the chateau is beautiful and very well-maintained, on a very large estate. Our room was beautifully decorated, quiet and dark with a very comfortable bed and top quality bed linens and comforter. The bathroom was brand new, gleaming, with generous amenities. The main building reception has freshly baked cookies, water with lemon and mint. Staff is welcoming, friendly, and very helpful. Highly recommend

Beautiful chateau in the French countryside
Posted 16 May 2024 on HotelsWe had an incredible experience at the Chateau Saint-Gilles. The chateau was built in 1730 but has been completely renovated inside with all of the modern conveniences. Emerick, Anne-Sophie, Margot, and Barbara made sure everything was smooth. The grounds are stunning and the hotel is a perfect distance to all D-Day locations. Breakfast and dinner were amazing and a great way to start and/or end the day. We will definitely go back.

Not only was the Chateau the most well-appointed, up-to-date, beautiful place we've ever stayed, the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We would highly recommend!!!
