Castle hotel was a great experience. Had to change rooms but staff were very accommodating. Restaurant was very good!

Lovely Umbrian Castle stay experience!
Posted 19 Nov 2022 on HotelsWonderful castle hotel in Umbria. Beautiful room, facilities, staff were amazing. Such a peaceful, idyllic location for easy day trips to surrounding sites. Really good restaurant.

Great place to relax and unwind. The restaurant was above average with a great wine selection. And it’s very close to beautiful Gubbio.

Posted 18 Sep 2016 on HotelsStayed here for three nights, and really enjoyed it. We used it as a base for visiting Assisi, Gubbio and Perugia, all of which are within an hours drive. Lovely restored building, with charm and character, friendly staff, an excellent choice at breakfast and overall, very good value for money. Didn't use the restaurant in the evening, so can't comment, although it seemed popular, even with the limited menu. The pool is not very big, but it was clean, and we saw it being maintained every morning.
You'll need a car if staying here, as it's in the middle of the countryside, and the drive from the road is about a 3-4km long. The nearest village doesn't have any facilities worth noting either.

Posted 25 Jul 2016 on HotelsThis was a ver relaxing hotel, if you are looking for a romantic few days away be warned as we were there Friday, Saturday and Sunday 3 nights, there was a wedding held on each night (with between 100 - 150 guests). I think this hotel should decide whether it is a romantic escape hotel or a wedding venue.
