Just right!
Posted 26 May 2017 on HotelsI loved the Seymour Guest House. It felt like home and for my short overnight stay it gave me a taste of Guayaquil I wouldn't have gotten at a fancy hotel. It was clean, comfortable temperature and comfortable bed. A simple breakfast to start the day with apricot juice, my favorite! A short ride to and from the airport. I would stay here again!

Good guesthouse for stopovers

GREAT FAMILY HOTEL. NO FRILLS. LOW COST
Posted 5 Dec 2015 on HotelsGreat little hotel above the owners home. Not many rooms and no frills. Cool tiles and neutral colours. Beds are comfortable, room is clean, bathroom is good.
A/C and TV. Free wifi in room and breakfast if you wish.
There is kitchen and lounge area.
All rooms appear to be on the first floor and the family live on the ground floor.
Nice quiet residential street, very secure intercom and buzzer security system.
Close to Policentro and San Marino shopping malls for food courts and ATM's.
Close to airport 20 minutes taxi $5 max.
Lovely father and son team to let you in and out of the hotel and good English spoken by the son.
Nice relaxing stay before and after my trip to the Galapagos.

A nice place to sleep close to the airport

Pros: The room was very clean
Cons: The access to the guest house. I had to wait a couple of minute outside until the guy in charge opened the door.
Location: The airport is very closed and the shopping malls with a 5 minutes walk. I paid $3.50 for a taxi to go to the airport.
I stayed two nights. If you want something closed to the airport and shopping malls and you don't demand a lot of things, this is the place for you. The room is small in the second floor of a house but it is very clean and provides the basic things you need for a short period (a bed, soap, towels, wifi, cable tv, a/c). They also provide a basic breakfast (bread, coffee, orange juice, butter). The guy in charge is a very nice person who you could have small talks. He helped me with the taxi to the airport.
The only thing I didn't like was you have to pay in cash and you only use your credit card to book the place, so remember to take some cash with you if you want to stay here.

It was really great experience to stay there.The host is kind and the room is super clean!!! I was totally satisfied. The only weakness is the airplane noisy since the hotel is very close to the airport.

Good flight layover option
