First, let me start by saying that the staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful. This very poor review is not a reflection of them. The condition of this resort is absolutely terrible and shameful, the most run down resort we have ever been to. It starts at the front desk, with duct tape holding the counter together. Not a good firat impression. Next, we booked 2 deluxe king oceanfront rooms, but were told these were not available but they had a family "apartment" with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. We thought, great --an upgrade. Not at all. It was a fright- the toilet seat in one bathroom was laying on the floor unattached, there was nothing in the kitchen area, everything had been removed. There were zero decorations or anything to make the area cozy. The air conditioner in the living area was pouring water and you could see where the celing had been patched multiple times. Food was the worst we have encountered, and you only are allowed to reserve at one of the restaurants 2 times, and must eat at the horrible buffet the rest of the time. My father in law is in a wheelchair, and the very tiny elevator in the lobby broke, making it very difficult and inconvenient to use the other elevator further away. The walkway surfaces are not compatible for wheelchairs, very rough and uneven. Needless to say, we checked out after less than 24 hours and went to a different resort. The ownership needs to do a LOT of work to bring this resort up to standards.
