"Amazing stay. Our first time in Guadeloupe. We stayed a week. The owner, Geoff, was super friendly and helpful, he spoke both French and English. The apartment had everything you needed for a week stay and Geoff got anything we asked for. There is not maid service, which was fine with us, we cooked meals. "When I was booking this hotel I was baffled why some reviewers rated it excellent and others terrible. Having now been there I understand perfectly. This is an old hotel with lots of character and ambience and great, friendly service. It has a big pool and private beach with lunch restaurant as well as a restaurant and bar in the main building. We loved it. The room was very nice, But if you are looking for all the modern conveniences of a U.S. hotel and 21st century plumbing, you could be disappointed. If mobility is an issue I would stay somewhere else as there are lots of steps. "

"The resort is ver well staffed- there is always someone to assist with anything you need. They make good use of the very tiny beach but once you are in the resort you are a captive audience- nothing close by for eating, drinking, shopping, etc. we had a car but traffic was challenging and you certainly are not going to drive after a few beers 😳"
