One office staff not there to serve the customers. I had to pointedly ask twice to have the pool opened (housekeeping staff alerted us that pool repairs were complete several days ago). The person, being a former school teacher, was concerned about our noise that evidently prevented her from doing her job (6:30am in the breakfast area/lobby). We were a group of 19 golfers, but the quietest group of 19 you will ever hear.

It can be frustrating when a staff member is unresponsive or more focused on other concerns rather than serving the guests. Given that your group was quiet and respectful, it's understandable that you would expect the staff to be more accommodating and less focused on noise concerns, especially early in the morning. We are terribly sorry that your experience was disappointing but your feedback is truly appreciated. Pros: The room has comfortable mattresses. The free breakfast includes cereals, muffins, waffles, eggs, yogurt, and coffee and beverage options. The location is safe and convenient to shopping and dining. The staff was friendly.
Cons: The bathroom had a mildewy smell. The desk chair was broken and unsafe so we didn't use it.

It sounds like your stay had a mix of both positive and negative aspects. You enjoyed the comfort of the room and the breakfast selection, and the hotel's location and friendly staff were definite pluses. However, the issues with the bathroom odor and the broken desk chair was disappointing.
