We were happy about all aspects of this property. Not a single complaint. The historical background was a nice bonus. A hidden gem.

Very nice

This was such a pleasant surprise. Beautiful small inn with terrific staff and great food. We stayed in the attic - the Perch room. Lovely. FYI, though, only a curtain over the bathroom doorway. Also, it has a big jacuzzi tub, but not much shelf space for toiletries in shower.

Lovely Bed and Breakfast with great service

Traditional Colonial-style B&B; great water pressure, comfortable beds, good breakfast. It is right by the train line so you will hear the train

The house and property are beautiful, unique and cool. The staff is friendly, professional, and accommodating. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay.

Think Twice before Staying Here.

Had a name change, so, reservation was under: Jenneth Von Muller Vaughn. With that said. The room we stayed it was too small for four people (two were children), couldn't see five adults being comfortable in the room, which is how the room is listed. The AC never worked properly, it was always around 75° in our room, it appears it never actuallygot fixed (would appreciatea partial refund for this alone). The room was way over decorated and the bed wasnt very comfortable, you could feel the springs in the mattress. We were told there would be "a few trains" going by, but, LOTS of trains go through, day and night. Breakfast was very basic, example: 1.5 pieces of french toast, two small pieces of bacon and a small friut cup, and enough oj for two people, and there was four of us. The second day's breakfast, we only got coffee enough for one and one coffee cup! For almost 1000$, it just wasn't Worth it, we certainly dont feel we got our money's worth. I'd say this is more like a 3-500$ weekend stay ($500 would be pushing it). Save yourself the trouble and go to the Colonial Inn or Arrowhead Inn, they are much MUCH better for a lower price! We won't be staying again.

We are so sorry to hear Burke Manor wasn’t a good fit for your family of 4. We received your reservation through a 3rd party booking; thus the name and room assignment were not in our control. None of our rooms accommodate 5ppl, 4 is the maximum. Pictures of the rooms, amenities and food and beverage served are all on our website, which I believe 3rd parties provide links to showing Suite 203 has a king bed and sleeper sofa, 1 room. (I have attached the pictures showing this on our site). At check in, we realized you might want a little more space than the 1 room suite and offered the Provence Cottage which is 2 rooms with a bedroom, and a sleeper sofa in living room, 2 separate tv’s and more room which would provide a little more privacy. You declined this offer. We were happy to provide Room Service for the complimentary full breakfast each morning. When delivering breakfast, we did advise you to let us know if you needed anything else, just call down to the desk. We would have been delighted to have brought more French toast and another carafe of oj (an additional coffee cup on Sunday too!). Your husband complimented us each morning as he went out to the grounds, therefore our assumption was everything was to your liking. If he had mentioned anything we would have been more than happy to accommodate your requests. We were not made aware of any of your concerns, which could have been quickly taken care of. The a/c on the 2nd floor was working well in all the rooms, as our housekeeper checks the temperatures when making up the rooms. It's unfortunate your “do not disturb” sign was on the door during your entire stay and the only time we were able to enter was to drop the 2 breakfast trays each morning and to provide the full set of linens and towels requested Saturday at 4:30pm. The rates for the room are based on time of year, the rate is for 2 persons plus 30/ per additional person. 3rd party bookings also add to room rates. Usually booking directly with a property ensures the best rate and the proper room is assigned. Our team truly tried to make your stay comfortable and y’all cared for. We are disappointed too.
