It is located with beautiful views of the ocean and the snow capped mountains. New property in excellent condition. Very friendly employees.

Lovely boutique hotel with gorgeous rooftop dining with spectacular view of the bay. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Short walk to the beach and numerous seaside dining options.

We have stayed in the village of Kalyves for over 10yrs and Sunrise apartments was a wonderful find this year. After a long delayed journey with children we arrived around 10.30pm where Nikos and his staff were happy to cook us a lovely meal. Our family room was spacious, clean and the beds exceptionally comfortable. During our stay, all requests were hassle free.. safe key, iron, taxis, late night drinks, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were chatty and friendly and the pool area and bar meticulously clean. The 10 min walk to the beach is fine but a little steep on the way back. There was ample parking for a hire car. The main bar & restaurant has a lovely elevated position and the menu was impressive along with the views of the bay, which can be seen from most areas in the complex. For a quiet relaxing holiday or a base for a more active holiday, Sunrise apts is ideal.

Pros: Cleanliness in apartment and round the pool.
Location: Lovely beach 10 minutes walk downhill.
We stayed for 3 nights and they were great. On a hillside overlooking the small town of Kalyves, so it had amazing views over Souda Bay. Really clean and comfortable, staff were very helpful. We would stay here again if in the area.

Pros: Clean- good value- good views- easy access to Kalives- exceptional staff- fresh and tidy-everything!
Location: 30 mins from Chania-few minutes walk to beach and shops and tavernas. Kalives traditional/ small relatively unspoiled village
Had a big problem trying to access our e-mail accounts thus could'nt print out boarding passes. Dimitri (manager) spent ages helping us on internet and we finally got it sorted. Dimitri and Katerina treat you like family. I doubt you'd get better service anywhere.

Great place to stay and relax

Pros: Room and pool great. Breakfast was outside overlooking the bay in Kalyves. Very family friendly environment. Thoroughly recommended
Cons: It was very hot (40C) when we were there so the aircon struggled to keep the temperature down. Under normal summer conditions it would be fine
Location: Good beach there if not huge. Chania (15km) is certainly worth a visiting. Lots of Venetian, Roman and Turkish remains nearby too
We were only able to stay one night, but from the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed and our studio was spacious with a great veranda over looking the sea. We could park the car under cover (helpful with a hot sun). The facilities were spotless and the pool very appealing
