The room is what you would expect, it was small with a small washroom. The room and the washroom were exceptionally clean. We were lucky enough to have a balcony which gave us extra sitting room with a view. The hotel was situated in the middle of Firostafani, Fira is about a 1 kilometer walk. The owners were friendly, I would recommend this hotel as a place to stay.

Charming and comfortable
Posted 6 Jun 2019 on HotelsWe really loved our stay at Sofia Hotel Santorini .
The room was small but well equipped including a fridge and kettle which i have found you don’t always get in Europe .
The hosts provided us with a complimentary small bottle of wine and water which was a nice touch .
We arrived early and we were allowed to store our luggage to go and explore the area before check in which was 1pm.
Upon check in our bags had been taken to our room .
The room had lovely views out the back and a terrace area we could sit in . It was clean and comfortable .
This is a small boutique hotel in Santorini consisting of only 6 rooms . It is well situated to local restaurants with everything in walking distance .
This hotel has a swimming pool which are hard to find in Santorini .
I’d definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again .

Location is perfect!!!
Posted 23 Sep 2018Fantastic property representing excellent value for money. Comfortable room with balcony with partial caldera view and just a few steps away to view beautiful sunset. Restaurants and convenience stores literally on the doorstep yet very quiet in the room once the door is closed. Could not be in a better location in our opinion. Easy to catch public buses around the island and to walk to Fira and Imerovigli. Owners are lovely people. We arrived early and they prepared our room as soon as possible to allow early check in and organised transfers from airport on arrival and to port on departure for us. Would definitely stay here again. Don’t hesitate to book this property.

Great location in Firostefani!
Posted 28 Jun 2018Great location near bus stop, restaurants, views. Spacious room with all amenities; pool is a huge plus; convenience store (which is also the reception - a bit confusing at first) is right next door. The family who owns the hotel is very nice and helpful. Definitely recommend!

Great value, wonderful room
Posted 21 May 2018 on HotelsWe really enjoyed our stay at the Sofia Hotel. We normally stay in budget to moderate priced accommodations, and the Sofia was the nicest place we stayed in during our 2 and a half week vacation in Greece. The room was spotless, the shower was very good with lots of hot water, and the beds and pillows were comfortable, even for me with my bad back. The wifi was very good (although we had trouble connecting to start with). We had a beautiful balcony with a nice table and pair of chairs. The air conditioning functioned perfectly. We had a refrigerator and kettle which is all we really needed for breakfast. The location is excellent - you have a partial caldera view, lots of restaurants, a small store downstairs, and you have a head start on the path to Oia if you want to do the hike. Our host was very helpful and let us check-in a bit early and set up our shuttle to the airport.

Excellent location, lovely staff
Posted 20 Nov 2017I highly recommend this small hotel of only six rooms. The family running the hotel and shops below are welcoming, kind, and helpful. The location can't be beat and locals working nearby said I made a better choice than others paying much more for villas and having long treks up and down the stairs to get to and from their rooms. Improvements to the rooms are planned during the off season. I do not plan to return to Santorini, but if I do I will surely stay here again.

Great location but poor experience
Posted 16 Sep 2016Our first night the hotel couldn't accommodate us and put us up at another place off of the main strip, what was closer to an apartment room - the bed you could feel the metal springs; an overall disappointment. Ensure the hotel does not move you for any nights because it felt as though they do this frequently to ensure full capacity at their hotel, which is only 5 rooms. The actual hotel is in a great location with a nice shared patio, good value if you don't get moved!

Good location

Pros: Location. Free pick up service from and to port.
Cons: Cleanines.
Location: Many restaurants within walking distance. We tried two around the corner for brunch and dinner and both disappointing. Found better options in Fira.
Hotel is in a very good location, within a walking distance from bustling Fira's center and next to a bus station. We walked all the time and even did the 2 hr hike to Oia. Rented a car to visit other parts of the island in the south and east coasts.
The hotel is manned by the owner Sofia and has two young men who were helpful. They provided free pick up service from and to the port. Just make sure to call for arrangements at least 24 hour prior to arrival (also by air). The hotel is located on a second floor and has five bedrooms. It does NOT have a caldera view but you can literally walk less than 30 meters to see it. They are small but have basic comfort. We paid a good value compared to many other higher end options. Overall Santorini was expensive compared to our stays in Athens and Mykonos, and many services and restaurants were of subpar quality albeit good service in general.

Central area close to bus stop and shops.

Pros: Swimming pool, safe hotel with safe and also clean and standard with excellent staff.
Cons: Bathroom was a bit outdated and shower fluctuated degrees of pressure and warm/hot water.
Location: Central, close to shops and restaurants and the bus stop to other parts of island.
Great staff, the lady who owns the hotel was so accommodating and absolutely a gem.
