Maria was the perfect host, very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The room or small apartment was very clean and comfortable, with cats and tortoises joining us for the excellent continental breakfast which was served to us every day by Maria and Elsa. The room was very traditional, everything worked including the aircon, very convenient to stay near the port and resteraunts etc. The only downsides are its not easy to find and the internet is not great, but this is a problem across the island.

Beautiful garden views
Posted 20 Sep 2024 on HotelsI really loved the gardens and enjoyed sitting out on our large patio gazing out over it to the sea. We were also close enough to be able to walk into town. A bus stop was also right across the street which was convenient. The only negative was that the bathroom was very small.

Great hospitality
Posted 27 Aug 2024 on HotelsMaria was a wonderful host! She prepared us a lovely breakfast every morning that we enjoyed on our balcony. The property grounds are well maintained and the location is good near to the port. Overall very happy with our stay and look forward to coming back!

What a lovely place to stay. Maria is an awesome host. She is extremely helpful and she makes good food. The room was clean and the place is close to the port which has a ton of restaurants and shopping. Thank you for all your help Maria!

We loved staying for a few days at Maria's. Sifnos is definitely a great island for recharging and for those enjoying calm environments. Maria's rooms are comfortable, very quiet and you get the pleasure of opening your window to gorgeous hills. Maria is also a very kind host with delicious cooking for breafast as well as refreshing lemonades as a welcome gift. Thank you so much again !

No Greek hospitality - Overrated
Posted 18 Jun 2024 on HotelsIf you are looking for Greek hospitality, this is not the place to go. You will be „nickeled and dimed“ at every turn. From our initial contact with the owner suggesting we could carry the luggage uphill to the hotel from the ferry, to warnings about extra costs for fresh towels, using the AC during the day and having breakfast in the common area.
The whole breakfast setup is unpleasant. You are not allowed to serve yourself, but the owner doles out the food. The coffee tasted so weak as if it had run twice through the filter. The owner makes you carry a tray with your breakfast up steep stairs to your room and asks you to bring it back. We skipped breakfast after the first day.
Unfortunately in our room the terrace offered in the mornings no shade and no privacy to the next door unit. It was basically unusable because of a loud AC unit blowing hot air in your back.
Advertised beach loungers and beach umbrellas were not available. Upon request, the owner tried to gaslight us by providing on day four kiddie folding chairs and a
flimsy umbrella.
Add to that drainage issues in the bathroom sink and shower that she had the nerve to blame on us, plus ants!
The exchanges with her were so toxic that we seriously considered moving to a new hotel. Fellow travelers beware, Sifnos is a wonderful island that you should enjoy in a hotel that offers true Greek hospitality.

Fantastic place to stay. 10 minute walk to port. Property was beautiful with a lovely balcony to sit and view the whole area. Breakfast was amazing with unique items each day.
