Dear Sophie,Thank you very much for taking the time to post a review. We are delighted to know that you have found the three Catherines, at the reception, kind and helpful. In your room you did not have only sheets in your bed, you also had a summer blanket, but it seems you did not used it at all. If we knew that you were feeling cold and you needed a ticker and warmer duvet we would have certainly given one, but we have not asked one from you.As a person who works in the touristic serctor (you reported this at the reception) it sounds very strange from your side to mention that you were not allowed to eat your food by the pool, which was not purchased at the premisses. Apart from the fact that the stuff -who clean the place arount the pool and make sure that pool facilities work properly for you to use them everyday- are get paid by the hotel for the service they provide and not from the bakery shop in the corner, in addition (and more importantly) Greek taxation system is very strict and they make checks regurarly, so if you were cought to eat food that was not purchased by the hotel's restaurant the hotel would have to pay a fine to the tax office and get forced by the tax officers to close down the hotel for days, as a penalty. We are sorry but this is a risk that we cannot take. According to the Greek tax system, food and drinks by the pool have to be invoiced, at the place they are consumed. In addition, on your arrival, you were given an information paper, with hotel's policies. On this paper, it was clearly mentioned that no outside food or beverages permitted by the pool and public areas. Our pool policy was also placed at the pool area. The same food and drink policy around the pool facilities applies to all the hotels in Greece now. As for your towels, were changed -although hunged- because, according to the ladies who cleaned your room, they had to be changed, as they were looking dirty. They are advised to change the towels if they look dirty according to the healty protocol we need to follow.
