Quaint, traditional Greek b&b with amazing view!
Posted 20 Aug 2024 on HotelsGreat one night stay at Hotel Mato. Traditional old Greek house where the lady owner was so helpful and friendly. We had a room at the top of the house (up a spiral staircase) which had a spacious balcony with amazing views of the port. Lovely traditional Greek breakfast. The location is fantastic for Skiathos old town and the ferry port. Would recommend (as long as you like cats - she has tons them! )

We loved our Stay at Mato hotel. Family room was convenient for our family of 5. The breakfast was exceptional and the owner is so sweet.

Great little traditional hotel
Posted 23 Jul 2024 on HotelsWe loved our stay here. The host was so welcoming and friendly and the hotel is full of traditional local character. Lovely spacious rooms for a family with a large balcony. Breakfast was fabulous.

delightful family hotel. on typical narrow street with steps, so a little hard to find with suitcases. Owner very friendly, great breakfast . A/C a godsend.

Owner Fifo was very friendly and helpful. Wonderful staying in her hotel home on a quiet street. Lovely restaurant Batís steps down the street.

The owner of this property is very sweet. We enjoyed our stay here because we aren’t too picky. However, you are greeted by around 8 cats that linger around property and the rooms itself are definitely not non-smoking. Very strong smoke smell, but that seems to be very common in Greece. EVERYONE SMOKES!!
The location is great. Very close to town , port and all the nightlife. Parking is a beast. Took us 30 min to find a spot and then walked with all our luggage 15 minutes. But the rooms were clean and we were comfortable.
