It was in a great location to see the sights. All within walking distance. Even the train station was walkable. I also highly recommend Der Steirer next door for your culinary option.

Hotel is in a good location for the old city and tourist areas, and also close to many restaurants and cafes. The room provided at check in was rather small, but the main issue was a strong smell of paint due to recent renovation. The front desk provided an upgrade to a different larger room due to this, however they did not offer an automatic upgrade per VIP access. Amenities in the rooms are lacking. There are no tea/coffee making facilities, and no iron/ironing board. However staff was friendly and service generally good. Overall sense is that the hotel could benefit from a general renovation to the rooms and amenities/facilities to complement its good location close to the old town area.

When I booked this hotel it was because of the pristine location adjacent to the river.I was shocked that 2 of the roads in front and beside the property as well as the walking bridge across the river were totally ripped us making walking impossible! Added to this was the fact that the annex that our room was located in was also under renovation with one of the elevators inoperable. Not impressive, would not have booked if I knew this was the case, no warnings received to inform us of the situation!

Although we booked an eco room, the price and the hotel are 4* but it isn’t. Room size acceptable but bathroom terrible in terms of shower and lavabo. Water did not flow and made room wet. Bed not comfortable.
