A family stay
Posted 12 May 2024 on HotelsA nice family stay, quiet village pub. The host was very helpful including recommending an evening meal in the next village which was great (fighting cocks pub). It seems the venue has stopped doing food, but having said that she still provided us with a perfectly good breakfast. The room was clean, a nice little street village view, we all slept well. Great for country walking, a family visit and somewhere quieter in a local pub.

Posted 25 Aug 2021 on HotelsThe room was clean, quiet and comfortable. It is off the beaten track but easy to find with GPS. The food was very good. The service was very good and the manageress was the most pleasant person you could wish to meet.

Our welcome was fine and kind since we were early. They kindly invited us to eat fish and chips from a local van - no food on Mondays we hadn’t noticed, in the bar with a lovely fire and a drink.
Had to replace outside light but done immediately. Lavatory seat broken, told them,

Overall very good The Landlord and Lady were away the first night. So a lady Cath was running the show The place was busy with food and drink orders She was amazing running the bar serving up food everything went very smoothly and she looked after us very well nothing was to much trouble .
