Good overnight stop for a local concert in Grand Rapids. Much more affordable than staying downtown.

This is my go to value hotel when in Grand Rapids . GR can be a ruff city to visit anymore ( since the past 4 years) with the homelessness. michigan as a whole is falling apart in its big citys so finding a decent hotel that doesnt cost you a paycheck to stay the night is hard. This hotel is one of the best you’ll get. Area is ruff but you’ll be safe…. One thing i have noticed The last few times while staying at this hotel is some of the local folks rent a room for the night so their kids have a place to stay and it seems the parents takeoff for the night to go party leaving the kids to run around ,people dont raise there kids with Couth anymore so dont expect much from children. They are loud use the pool and are being babysat by the hotel but this is the America we live in now and its not gonna change for the better anytime soon. I stay here often so i know what to expect. The hotel is not at fault for the decline of Grand Rapids

Room was nice. Clean and comfortable. An honest freezer with a separate door! Lobby and grounds well maintained. Staff was friendly. Will stay there again.

Beds are awful, service is awful, the breakfast is awful. It was freshly renovated within the year, but showers are terrible, tile floors werent done properly (loose tiles, uneven, and sink was broken). Ive stayed here twice for work and both times the bathroom sink or floor tiles where broken, which makes it a hazard to not have shoes on in the bathroom. Also hotel smells like weed most times of the day/night.

Smoke alarm in room started beeping, one beep every 30 seconds at 7am. Called the front desk and was told to take down the smoke alarm, was so high had to stand on couch. Of course the smoke alarm was hard wired so that did nothing. Ended up showering and leaving so early. Front desk did nothing to guve refund or credit for future stay.
