Breakfast was bagels and cereal. Very limited options. No ice machine and spa and sauna were closed. Also our tv didn’t work in our room. Place needs a serious overhaul to be worth what they charge.

You pay for what you get, and I admit I chose this place because it was less expensive, however, in the future I’ll pay more for a nicer place. The rooms are in serious need of an upgrade. Bathtub was in gross condition, carpet frayed and torn. Even my phone charger would fall out of the outlet. Lighting poor, just lamps. The young woman working at the front desk was not very friendly. I won’t be staying here again.

Even though it's nothing fancy, the room is comfortable, close to a restaurant, on the main street of Grand Marais, and has premade breakfast available the entire day (I grabbed a bagel for lunch because I wasn't too hungry and it was fine). The staff is really friendly and helpful and gave me tons of ideas to go hiking.
