El Tovar was a beautiful historic hotel with great proximity to the canyon and it’s spectacular views. Great staff too!

El Tovar is a treasure! It's a beautiful, historic property with a lot of charm. The rooms are quaint, but could use a renovation. The staff was wonderful. We had a couple hiccups during our stay, involving a broken heater and some very loud and obnoxious diners sitting next to us in the formal dining room. The staff were very kind and made the situations right. I will definitely come back!

I was very disappointed with the small drab room. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were the size of throw pillows, not pillows for sleeping. We couldn’t use the heater at night or when we were watching tv because it was EXTREMELY noisy. I called concierge and requested a blanket and they didn’t bring it for an hour after I had gone to bed. For the price El Tovar charges I was so disappointed!

The location was just fabulous. The hotel condition needs some upgrades. Had a really bad musty smell. In hotel life by and room. The food was very good staff very nice and friendly.
