Nice and quiet
Posted 8 Nov 2019 on HotelsOnly the reception area is an old building, the rest of the hotel is a new-built, comfortable, quiet, well-maintain and with aircon and good wifi, nice sundeck area. The breakfast is simple and very effective with wonderful fresh fruit / tomatoes and coffee, street parking nearby is relatively easy.

A lovely hotel in a very charming town
Posted 22 May 2019 on HotelsWe very much enjoyed our 3-night stay at the Hotel Fonda de la Tea. We had a room on the second floor, which has a terrace, and spent two delightful late afternoons there drinking wine and appreciating the beautiful setting. The rooms are spare (though the bathrooms are quite modern), but the breakfast was generous and the staff friendly and helpful. We especially appreciated all the advice they gave us about local hiking trails. Altogether a very enjoyable experience!

Beautiful little gem of a hotel in a top location
Posted 29 Oct 2017
Pros: Spotlessly clean and quiet, perfect location, great breakfasts, and lovely staff for whom nothing was too much trouble.
Cons: Nothing springs to mind.
Location: The perfect base from which to do one of the many fantastic hikes. And plenty of places to eat afterwards!
Can't recommend this lovely hotel highly enough. Tejeda itself is absolutely stunning, and the hotel's perfectly located. We received the warmest of welcomes on arrival; our room was spotlessly clean and opened out onto the lovely roof terrace, itself a real sun trap. Breakfast was delicious and the perfect set-up for our hike.
Only wish I'd booked for longer!

Good hotel in popular mountain village
Posted 7 Mar 2016
Pros: Location
Cons: It was cold for the first couple of days and my hotel room had no heating. Not enough table room for everyone at breakfast
Location: Great location as a base for a walking holiday and central
Ideal location as a centre for walking in the mountains with good local restaurants

Definitely would stay here again!
Posted 29 Dec 2015 on HotelsThe hotel was in a small but lovely Gran Canarian village with great views and several nice restaurants in town. Also a small but well stocked grocery store. There is a lovely rooftop terrace to watch the fantastic sunsets!

Best place to stay in lovely Tejeda
Posted 5 May 2015 on HotelsFriendly and helpful staff. Hotel has a lovely outlook over the valley and mountains. Short walk to several restaurants and bars. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Rooms are not luxurious but more than adequate and overall a very pleasant stay. Thank you Fena & Eva.

Excellent small hotel in a mountain village.
Posted 7 Feb 2015
Pros: It is simple and immaculately run. The owner has a restaurant at the other end of the village which serves excellent simple rural food.
Cons: The hot water comes from a combi boiler and could be a bit hotter. We topped up the bath with a couple of kettles of boiling water - kettle supplied.
Location: The hotel is on the main street in the village which is situated on a steep hill. The views are spectacular and walking the trails is testing.
We spent a few days walking in the hills and sunning ourselves on the terrace in the first week of February. Tejeda is delightful and has apparently been voted the most beautiful village in Spain. By chance we were there during the annual Almond Blossom fiesta and the village was packed with people over the weekend - local costume, foods, craft goods and bands. Mostly we had sunshine which was warm when in it and quite cold otherwise. We had toyed with staying at the Parador about 1000 feet higher, but for almost the entirety of our stay it was in cloud whilst Tejeda had sunshine. On the one day when it was cloudy and rainy in Tejeda we went to the Parador to use the excellent spa and have lunch.

A getaway in the heart of Gran Canaria
Posted 21 Dec 2014 on HotelsA lovely getaway in the heart of Gran Canaria. Owner Fina was very helpful in her advice. The hotel itself has great communal areas to relax in and meet other guests. Rooms are clean and well furnished, and the views from the balconies stunning.
