This property was in an excellent location, being close to a grocery store, the Sagrada Familia, and souvenir shops. It had good water pressure and maintained a good air temperature for sleeping. However, there was road noise and people laughing and talking during "sleep" hours. I would recommend using white noise or another phone setting that could reduce the outside noises. There is also a deposit fee not mentioned by Expedia that would have been helpful to be aware of for planning purposes.

The check in is not in the same property. We had to walk 4 blocks down with luggage and in 98 degrees Fahrenheit. This was not communicated to us. Also it says it has laundry service. It does not have dryer.

Hello Veronica,Thank you for taking a moment to leave us a review, we were waiting for it.As I explained to your husband during check in, at the time of booking it makes it very clear that the reception is located in a different building than where you had booked. Moreover, when we received the reservation we sent an email to your personal email (the email you put in the reservation) with all the necessary information before arrival where it also says where the reception is located. To all our guests staying at Authentic Gracia we offer a free taxi which was no different with your husband and we offered it to him several times but he didn't accept it.Regarding the laundry, it is true that there was a miscommunication. We have two buildings and we have the same apartment number in both. By not specifying the building we gave you the wrong information, we are sorry for the inconvenience. In spite of this, your apartment and all the others in your building have a washing machine and a clothesline so we do offer a laundry service, this is totally free and you can make use of it during your stay.We are sorry it was not what you expected, perhaps if you had read the information at the time of booking or if you had looked at your email some complaints could have been avoided.Regarding the miscommunication with the laundry, we accept the fault and apologize again.We hope you have at least enjoyed our beautiful city.Kind regards,Irene (Front Desk Supervisor)

The staff at the reception should be more supportive and helpful. Made my start quite tough and disappointing.

It provided a balcony overlooking a nice neighborhood. And we could see Sagrada Familia from upstairs terrace as well. Nice, quiet and safe, family neighborhood. We all love the pizza next door and tapas and sangria on the other side, just to mention it. Our experience was really good and most the information we needed was accessible.
