"I loved my stay here. Because it’s high season, we didn’t get to extend our stay but Mayra and the staff were so helpful. They let us use the hospitality room to wash up after the beach. And they let us keep our luggage for a few hours because our flight was in the evening. The breakfast was super good and the staff were very nice and kind. Jonatan was also very nice, always saying hi and asking us if we needed anything. Everyone in the reception area was helpful. I needed to print something and they helped me with the matter. The room was kept clean and house keeping was great! Overall I think it’s an excellent hotel. I wished the pool was bigger but there’s a beach right across the street so that’s not a problem. I will definitely stay here again and I’m so happy I picked this property. It’s also centered where there’s restaurants and establishments all around. I will suggest to book the breakfast because it was so good and worth it (in my opinion). Honorable mention to Mayra who checked us in and was very helpful and pleasant. Also to Jonatan. Marcos helped us with our luggage and he was nice as well. Stay here for a pleasant experience! "

"Never having been to Rio de Janeiro, I relied on the photos of and from the Hotel as well as the reviews. Since the moment we arrived to the time we left, we were elated about our choice. Ipanema was walkable. Our fourth floor balcony with ocean view was simply breathtaking . I have to add that our bed was SO CRAZY comfortable, were it not for the view tempting me from bed just there between our curtains, I might not have seen ANY of Rio. OH, the food! Their restaurants were superb and service/staff that truly spoiled us all week. I would highly recommend Sheraton Grand Rio and would return there in a heart beat. THANK you Sheraton and Expedia for another trip of a lifetime, truly.🌟❤️"

"Very clean, centrally located (Copa), nice pool at the rooftop, but it gets pretty hot, so don’t expect to feel refreshed. Also, keep in mind the coffee capsule in the room are not complimentary (maybe it’s a norm, but I’ve never stayed at the hotel where they charge you for coffee). Overall, pretty good stay that didn’t cost an arm and a leg. "

"Everyone is very friendly. I’d say make sure you know basic Portuguese, as communication is difficult outside from reception. It was very close to the beach, they provided beach towels so it was really nice to have that. "
