Lovely property with great staff and amenities. Breakfast was abundant and delicious. Beds were comfy and the location was beautiful. Highly recommend!
Just the kindest owners and best place to stay in Golden. The breakfast is incredible and Ken and Lori are such thoughtful people. We will definitely be back.
Yes, very clean and quiet and perfect, I would recommend this place and I would stay there again, only suggestion would be have an another chair and table in room
Once you arrive you forget about living in the city and the hectic pace of everyday living. You are greeted by the owners and made to feel welcome upon arrival. After you view the entire lodge you can settle into your room or rest in the lounge/living room where others guests talk about the ventures for the day or where they are going to go next. Once again the owners will share with you hikes within the area or assist you in discovering something you have never experienced before.
The most relaxing holiday in years!
The lodge is in an isolated area developed mostly for skiing and hiking. We made it in mid September just before closing for the summer season. The owners who live on the site were most helpful and friendly in assisting our travel plans to the Icefields Parkway located about 100 km away and then off to Banff and Lake Louise.
This is a gorgeous lodge run by friendly and helpful people. It was a delightful place for rest and relaxation in a beautiful mountain setting. Would totally recommend it! We would love to return someday.
Nous sommes allés en haut du mont kicking horse. Très beaux sentiers de randonnée. Bon restaurant en haut de la montagne. Les hôtes de l'hôtel Vagabond Lodge sont très accueillants. Endroit recommandé.
Excellent lodge in every way. Extremely comfortable, delicious breakfast and exceptionally friendly, helpful service from Lori and Ken.
Would definitely recommend.
Très bel endroit situé à quelques pas des pistes (ski in, ski out). Très propre également. Ken et Lori sont des hôtes extraordinaires!!! Les repas inclus sont de bonne qualité. Nous allons certainement y retourner! Nous le recommandons à tous!!! A++++++++++++++
Stayed here for 3 nights and absolutely loved it. We stayed in room 6 which had two small double beds and was a split level room. Ken and Laurie are the hosts and they made the stay extra special. They were always willing to go the extra mile. The hot tub outside was always a welcome relief after a long day on the slopes. The breakfast and lunch supplied were also top quality.
We stayed at Vagabond Lodge because the price was quite affordable for our September trip to kicking horse.
We were welcomed to the lodge and shown around and was stunned by the beautiful atmosphere and the friendliest owner Ken.
Must stay if you're in the area!
We enjoyed the Vagabond's casual comfort and charm. On a warm day, the veranda is a nice place to relax with a coffee and listen to the birds nesting in the trees. The indoor common spaces are perfectly suited for reading and conversation. All bedrooms are upstairs, decorated in warm tones and natural woods. Our room had a large window seat, allowing us to stretch out for a rest in the afternoon sun. The hosts are extremely friendly, always taking time to chat and offer ideas for enjoying the nearby trails and activities.
We wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and yet not spend all our time traveling. The Vagabond Lodge was a perfect fit. The lodge itself is beautiful, nestled in the side of the mountain and well kept up. Lori and Ken are wonderful hosts and the breakfasts and service were excellent. We enjoyed the peace and beauty the area had to offer and look forward to our next stay at the Vagabond Lodge and discovering more about area.
Fantastic location! I had no idea how close Vagabond was to the ski hill. Lori and Ken were upbeat and friendly and I was impressed with how considerate they were of my dietary restrictions. This place was much better than I was expecting it to be in all respects and I definitely plan to visit again.
