The surroundings are beautiful. The chalet is old, but ok. The food for breakfast and dinner in the restaurant is terrible. Cold meat and pasta and vergetables at the buffet. The lounge snacks are better, but not open after 18:00

Great stay with minor critique

Great stay, few things that could've been better. Wi-Fi doesn't reach the rooms, which is especially bad since the TV signal was (understandable) grainy at best. The AC unit in our room was a welcome commodity however it was making a loud mechanical noise the entire time it was on. All staff was really friendly and the rooms and common areas were very clean. Some confusion with the restaurant, we paid for bed and breakfast but on the second day of the trip was asked to pay for breakfast. One of the big reasons we chose Golden Gate was to see the vultures at the vulture restaurant but was very disappointed, no vultures and it looked like they hadn't been fed there in quiet some time.

The property is a bit old and worn out. There were stains on the sheets and the bathroom ceiling was covered in mould.

The place was not fully up to standard and felt outdated in the chalets and the staff even though they were very friendly, the service for the breakfast took very long and the continental breakfast was not up to standard however the view was absolutely breathtaking

They did not do daily cleaning. We found the room uncleaned when we came back for our second and last night stay.
