"The Italia Aldstadthaus is run as an annexe to the Italia Renaissace located about 75 meters away. It has no staff or facilities on site except the rooms (you have your own key to the street door) and breakfast is served at the Renaissance. There is no lift and the rooms are spread over 4 floors. The room was large and clean but was not cosy as there are another two bedrooms attached making 5 beds in total - more like an apartment really. The location is excellent. "Historical place with some limitations. The layout of room and bathroom bit strange: room enormous and bathroom very tiny. Too few sockets, no place for cosmetics in the bathroom while just a shelf would make a change. For more then a week we wait for refund of overcharged payment. Breakfast awfull- bad organisation, cold food."

"Great old Inn. My chilly room had a stunning view. Great breakfast and a gorgeous city. The city museum is not to be missed. I’d stay there again but hope for warmer weather. "

"Great hotel in a convenient location. We needed a twin room which was accommodated. Very clean. Great hot water pressure. Room was basic but spacious. There's an elevator which is helpful as we were on the 4th floor. Breakfast was simple and delicious. Eggs, meats, toast, crescents, cheeses, sausages, yogurts, veggies etc. And nice service. Close walk to the Christmas market and the train station. "
