It was extremely well decorated, clean and the staff were wonderful. Eat in the restuarant and it was fantastic. Lovely old building

Handy for amenities on Byres Rd.Ambience In residents terrace bar area.Could do with more communal seats around the hotel. Dissapointed The Gin bar was closed on Boxing day although we were told would be open.Nice breakfast.

Handy location for byres road. Easy walk from hillhead underground station. The bar was well stocked and lively. Breakfast was reasonably priced for a hotel (booking the night before is cheaper £11 than deciding on the day ). Cooked veggie choices at breakfast were quite limited by modern standards though. And perhsps because it was christmas the party going on in the function suite was audible in our 2nd floor bedroom until after midnight.

The property is in a convenient location close to shops and restaurants which we really liked. We had a challenge getting housekeeping service, we kept having to call to request it every evening because they didn't come during the day while we were out. They need more staff in general, there's usually only 1 person at the front desk so the phone goes unanswered.
